  If you are interested in entering the NZ National Flash Fiction Competition (300 words) and would like to find out more about it, please see Mrs Bailey in Careers for a copy of all the guidelines. Competition deadline is 30 April.

 
 
Cultural (Music, Drama, Kapahaka etc) Polyfest Performance in assembly BA
  Congratulations to all the Polyfest performers for a wonderful display of talent and culture at Polyfest last Saturday. Your amazing mahi is appreciated by us all. Please wash your uniforms and bring them to school on 5th April for the Year 7 to 13 Polyfest Assembly.

 
 
Middle School (Yr 7-10) Ethics Olympiad Team  Thom
  If you are in Yr 9 or 10 and are aged 12-14 years old this could be for you. Ethics is all about what is the right thing to do in a tricky situation - is it OK for a starving family to steal? Is it OK for a company to pollute a river if it means saving a whole town from unemployment? Is it OK to start a nuclear power station if it will slow down global warming? If you are interested in joining a team to compete in the 2024 South Island Ethics competition, come to K203 on Thursday April 4th at lunchtime.

Year 7 & 9 will attend the Easter Assembly period 2 
Year 13 will attend the Easter Assembly period 3
Year 11 will attend the Easter Assembly period 4
Year 12 will attend the Easter Assembly period 5
Year 8 & 10 will attend the Easter Assembly period 6
Entry and etiquette details: 
Please meet your class at your regular classroom, for the roll. 
All their bags left in the classroom. 
Walk over to the Grange as a group. 
Line your class up outside the Grange in 2 lines. 
You will be invited to enter the Grange theatre in turn via the doors indicated by the marshal. 
Your class is to be seated together
At the conclusion of the assembly classes will leave in an orderly fashion from the doors opening onto Arthur St carpark at the front of the theatre. 
Return to class to collect your gear and wait there for the bell for the next class.

  The liaison from Lincoln University will be in the library Thursday 4th April at lunchtime. if you are interested in Landscape Design, Environmental Planning, Viticulture, Fermentation, Tourism Management, Agricultural Science, Parks and Recreation, Real Estate and Sport Management come and hear about the degrees and courses.

 
 
Senior College (Yr 11-13) Model United Nations BA
  If you would like to participate in the Model UN at University of Canterbury on 5th and 6th April and are willing to pay $50 entry fee, please email Mrs Bailey for details. Cut off date for entry is 1st April.
